Papertrey Ink April 2018 Blog Hop

Hi there!

Where has the month of April gone??

It is time for the PTI April 2018 Blog Hop:

Inspiration photo:

Well, in all of my mounds of stamps and dies, I don’t have anything that is a teacup! I knew I had to do something different and I was inspired by the delicate cups and all the colors on them.

I pulled out one of my favorites, Garden Gild Make It Mini stamp and die set. It contains lots of florals which caught my eye in the inspiration picture.

I stamped the images with Distress ink because you can watercolor with it. While that was drying, I added a watercolor wash on another piece of paper using Tumbled Glass Distress ink. It is a very light blue. I was hoping to add some of the texture shown in the photo.

I glued the top piece down and added it all to a Aqua Mist card base. The last thing was to add the sentiment. I decided to use the ornament tag (an absolute favorite of mine) also cut in Aqua Mist and I really wanted gold so I die cut that using on of the big word dies (another favorite!)

A little Hibicus Burst was tied on top and it was popped up with foam dots.

Thanks for stopping by!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
SSS Monday Challenge Flower Power
WAW #332-333 Anything Goes
SSS Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes
