Birthday Wishes with The Stamps of Life – Crafting with Katherine

Hi there!

I wanted to share a card I created today:

I really like these big, bold dies from Stephanie Barnard. I decided to try to emboss the whole die cut.

I cut two of the hearts, one with about 65 lb white card stock and the second in a 110 lb card stock.

Then, I dabbed embossing ink all of the paper and applied gold embossing powder. The lighter card stock didn’t work as well and curled:

I missed a few spots, too, on that one so I will use part of it for something else.

Embossing is my favorite technique and I never grow tired of it. So it was fun to play around a little with it for this project.

I added a small piece of twine and then die cut the sentiment:

One I assembled the card, I added some Clear wink of Stella and a couple of small crystal flowers to finish it off:
