MFT Wednesday Sketch 366

Hi there!

Today I am sharing a card I created for the MFT Wednesday Sketch 366 challenge.

After die cutting and stamping the images, I went old school and pulled out my markers and colored all my pieces.
This card got off track when I decided to turn my die cut window into a shaker card! It has been a while since I made one so I forgot how to do it right. : )
I die cut the pieces – the circle windows and the matching base piece and cut the acetate as well. After gluing down the 2 birds and the heart to my pink base, I placed foam around the edges to make the shaker. I was about to attach it all when I realized I needed to put foam in the middle, too, or I would just have sequins in the bottom! I was able to add the foam pieces and save the card.
I then embossed the light purple background with a woodgrain folder and added it to the gray card base.
The shaker piece was added next followed by the tree, birdhouse and the sentiment.

  1. cute, I decided to go with that same die and stamp set as well and bust out my copics and do some coloring. I never thought about makeing a shaker card. Do you die cut first and then stamp since these dies are not see threw, I always die cut two just in case I mess up stamping
