Papertreyink Make It Monday #291 Emboss Resist Shadow Sentiments with

Hello!

I finally found some time to create something for PTI Make It Monday #291 Emboss Resist Shadow Sentiments.

Ashley has a great video this week for this technique.

Like most of the country lately, it has been really, really hot! My card has fall colors because I can’t wait for it to come!

I love all the Make It Market Mini sets and pulled out Color Pop Autumn.

I cut a piece of Bristol smooth paper using the Mix and Mat Postal Die. I stamped Bountiful with Pacific Point ink (SU.) After letting that dry for a second, I moved the stamp over just a smidge and embossed it again with Versamark and clear matte powder.

I began adding Old Olive ink all over the card and you can see the white shadow.

After inking, I let it dry well again as I have found the it takes Bristol a while to dry because the ink sits on top a little longer than regular card stock. That is one of the properties I really like about Bristol, it blends ink well.

I spritzed a little water on using my Distress mister and dried it off.

Next, I die cut the preprinted flowers that are included in the kit and added them with liquid glue.

I cut a piece of Enchanted Evening (such a lovely, rich blue) and adhered those together. This was  mounted it on a base of Pinefeather and Clear Wink of Stella was added to the flowers.

This was a fun technique I will be incorporating into future cards! Thanks Ashley.

Have a great day.

So pretty. Luckily it's not too hot in the UK.

Love your card and Fall color palette, Katherine! However, it's been beautiful in the Pacific NW finally so I'm definitely not ready for Fall.
