Papertrey Ink Make It Monday # 283 Watercolor Wash Backgrounds

Hello!

Today I am sharing a card I created for the PTI Make It Monday # 282 Watercolor Wash Background.

Laurie shared her first Make It Monday video today featuring watercolor.

I really have come to love watercolor, probably because it is messy and I am messy and imperfect!

I began by embossing leaf images from the Garden Gate stamp set using white powder.

I wet the paper and added two colors of green. While this was drying I pulled out Gran’s Garden and started stamping.

This is the first time I have used this set and let me just say I am in complete love with it. When I saw the release countdown featuring these flowers I couldn’t wait to try it. I love that there so much stamping and the images are bold!

Next, I die cut the flowers and stems and arranged them on my card stock. I cut a frame in black and assembled the bouquet and adhered it down.

For the last step I die cut thanks from My Favorite Things using PTI Luxe Gold Cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by!

I am including this card in the SSS Wednesday Blog Anything Goes challenge.

Those colors really do pop on Gran's Garden. I didn't order since the anniversary pre-sale so when this is back in stock, I'll definitely be ordering it. Your card is fabulous, Katherine!
