Hello!
Today I have two cards to share. If you have ever visited my blog, you know I am fan of using both the positive and negative space on a card from my die cuts.
Let me start with the first card, which inspired me to make the second one! Haha!
I am definitely experiencing Spring fever this week so I pulled out The Stamps of Life Bunny4Easter.
I glued down a piece of patterned paper onto a white card base and then die cut the bunny out. This left me with a space to fill.
After stamping a bunny in black on white card stock, I did a very light watercolor with pink on parts of him using Candy ink.
The bunny was glued down in the opening and then I decorated the inside. I wanted there to be eggs inside (from the eggs I cut a few weeks ago). I also stamped some grass and a flower.
So this is what you find when you open it:
I finished off the front the card with a die cut tag stamped with, “He is Risen.”
A trio of paper flowers was added around the tag.
The card opened from the front with the bunny peeking from the back:
On to the second card! Since I had this lovely die cut left I decided to cut some frames from Sizzix Dotted Rectangle Dies using coordinating card stock.
I decided against stamping the bunny on the paper because I was worried it wouldn’t show up enough. This became the bunny’s backside hopping away!
I added a pearl to represent cotton tail. My husband isn’t sure you can tell it is the back, but I am going with it!!!
The background was created by stamping a single flower all over. The two dotted frames were added and a trio of tiny dots were stamped around the bunny.
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
