Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #282 Stenciled Watercolor Backgrounds

Hello!

Today I wanted to share a card I made for this week’s PTI Make It Monday #282 Stenciled Watercolor Backgrounds.

Betsy has a video this week showcasing card using a stencil and watercolor. This technique is quite easy but boy, does it make a beautiful background!

I have been cleaning my craft room up and moving things around and rediscovered my Tim Holtz Distress Stains. I decided these would be perfect to help me make the background. I think of this product as liquid watercolor with dabber tops.

I taped down my stencil (Bold Floral Stencil) on watercolor paper and started dabbing around ink. I dried off the stencil between colors.

After the paper was dry, I tied Winter Wisteria ribbon on.

I wanted a something soft for my tag so I decided to cut a flower in pink.

Hello was stamped on using SU Pacific Point. This stamp comes from PTI What the Doodle Feather Set.

I added clear 4mm sequins and adhered the paper onto a base of Winter Wisteria.

Supplies used:
Distress Stains – Twisted citron, Shaded Lilac, Tattered Rose, Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean
PTI – What the Doodle Feather Stamp set, Winter Wisteria Card stock and Ribbon, Sweet Blush CS
Stampin’ Up – Flower Die
Pretty Pink Posh – 4mm Clear Sequins
Hero Arts – Bold Floral Stencil

Thanks for stopping by!
