A Trio of watercolor and gold featuring Altenew stamps

Hello!

I created three cards today. I have been doing that more and more. When I make one I often make multiples. Sometimes I make them completely different but today I made them the same because I thought they were lovely. This was because of the amazing stamp set, not because of what I did!!!

I have been my Zig clean brush pens and trying to learn more about them. I have a small selection but I haven’t used them as much as I would like. I watched a video to brush up on how to use them and got busy.

I created 3 watercolor backgrounds of similar design. Two using cool colors and one using warm colors.

I pulled out a set released last year that I just got called Altenew Best Mom. I remember when it came out thinking it was so stunning.

The main image I embossed over the watercolor using Gold Glory embossing powder from Stampin’ Up.

I made two of them cool colors because I wanted to experiment and see if I like the way the card would look if I watercolored the embossed image. I used two shades of purple and two shades of green.

I ended up loving the result! I worried it might run all together but I dried the base really well and used just a tiny bit of water.

I mounted the panel to foiled card stock. I have mentioned it before but I really think it is fantastic and should be a staple in your craft stash! I can get it locally at my Jo-ann store. It is the DCWV 6×6 Foiled Cardstock Stack.

I adhered it to the Gold Foil piece and then attached to a coordinating card stock base.

Finally, I decided to forgo any sentiment on the front. I thought about a banner but this image is just so pretty I left it alone. It speaks for itself. I can always stamp a sentiment on the inside.

I am planning to make several more of these any make them into a box of stationary for teacher gifts.

Thank you for stopping by!!
