Welcome to Day 4 – this week is flying by!
Please check out my previous Christmas tag posts:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
My first tag is super simple. I die cut some holly leaves from Paper Smooches Poinsettia Dies. I added these to a tag and inked the edges with Green ink. I next stamped To and From and I was done.
Using those same Poinsettia Dies, I cut the flower in two shades of red and the leaves in two shades of green. I created a layer flower and put a yellow dot in the center.
After gluing these down on my tag base, I splattered the card with gold watercolor paint.
I will add a sentiment to the front but I wanted to share the tag before I do that.
This next tag features an Avery Elle stamp and die set, Winter Wreath Set.
I stamped the wreath twice, in a lighter and darker green. I die cut the image and added it a pocket tag that holds a gift card. You can see the V underneath the wreath that holds the card.
I then stamped and die cut the pinecones and berries. I die cut the ribbon out of gold foil cardstock and added that to the top.
I cut a green circle and stamp Merry Christmas, which is included in the set.
I found some beautiful wreaths at my local Jo-ann’s made by Heidi Swapp. The box included 3 small wreaths and banners to go with them.
These ended up fitting my Papertrey Ink Die perfectly.
I cut the tag using Kraft Heavy weight cardstock and attached the wreath using foam tape. I finished by adding the banner and some ribbon.
This was so quick, but it so beautiful with great dimension.
My next tag is a repeat of above, except that I used white cardstock and I added some extra elements. I hot glued 5 buttons around the wreath and added some of my favorite gold ribbon. The sentiment came from an ArtC stamp at my local Michael’s recently. I added a couple of gold sequins and a thick twine.
You could make placecards for your Christmas table, too.
Thanks for stopping by, please come back tomorrow for the conclusion of my Tags series.
I am also entering these tags in Word Art Wednesday Blog Challenge Anything Goes #256-257
