Happy Holidays!

Today is a day off from school for my children so I am taking the opportunity to get crafty! Our church had a wonderful Family camp this past weekend and so now we are just relaxing.

I am continuing to make Christmas cards right now as I am still in the mood to do so!

For these two cards I used The Stamps of Life Card Kit.

I also used the Gingerbread 2 Stamp set and coordinating dies.

I wanted to make several things so I began by stamping lots of gingerbread men with dark brown ink on Stampin up Baked Brown Sugar cardstock. I tried several paper colors but I liked this best.

The stamp set includes lots of cute embellishments including a bow tie, a star button, a circle for his buttons (they were raisins at my house growing up) and lots of icing choices. Just so versatile.

I added a red bow tie and put red stickles on top of that. I did the same for the green stars. The icing is so cute – I stamped it with white pigment ink. I really like that each cookie can have its own personality!

I die cut the happy holidays in red and mounted on green to make it pop. I finished it off with red seam binding.

For this second card, I used the same red and green card stock. I began by die cutting the circle using the Happy Birthday Circle Dies. The outer circle doesn’t cut out a circle, but it leaves a circle of punched holes. I sewed around the circle with the thick twine in the Card kit. The gingerbread man was the perfect centerpiece.

I stamped the sentiment and added a little more twine to the edge.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!!
