It is getting to be that time of year – when I start seeing Candy corn all over the stores! It is my favorite Halloween candy.
It inspired my latest card featuring the Stamps of Life products.
I began by stamping with Versamark on yellow cardstock “Happy Halloween” to create a soft background. I really wanted the centerpiece to stand out so I didn’t want any competition.
I die cut from black cardstock a jar shape from the Sizzix Jar Framelits and Stamps set.
I stamped the outline of the jar with white pigment ink and let it dry. While waiting, I stamped about a dozen candy corn outlines in black dye ink.
I filled in the candy corn with different patterns in orange and yellow. This came from the CandyCorn2cut stamp set. It comes with a die so I could cut out all the pieces.
I glued down several candy corn and finished by adding the word, “Hi,” spelled out in candy corn.
I die cut the lid of the jar with orange cardstock and stamped the outline with white ink.
Lastly, I added some yellow twine at the top of the jar and glued it all down.
Thanks for stopping by!
