Hello there!
We continue to be experiencing a heat wave here but as summer draws to a close I get excited thinking about school. My two daughters start back mid-August.
This time of summer I always think back to my childhood when I would get in the mail my Back-to-school “Seventeen” magazine and pour over it with great anticipation of what the new school year would bring.
I decided to make some cards for my girls to wish them a great first day of school.
I used the notecard die from Papertreyink’s Don’t Forget to Write kit to create the red card using Lawn Fawn card stock.
I cut four squares out of Lawn Fawn cardstock and die cut slider shapes in 2 pieces.
I stamped and die cut apples and stamped my squares and assembled the card. I used circle foam dots to attach the apple to a penny – it makes the apple turn in circle instead of slide side to side!
I created this card for SSS Wednesday Anything Goes.
Thanks for stopping by!
Wonderful idea to start the year off right, Katherine! Love your design! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
