Hello there! Hope you are having a great day.
It is still hot, hot, hot here in GA and I am incredibly grateful for air conditioning today! I spent some time outside pruning Butterfly bushes and I was rewarded with a beautiful butterfly and hummingbird coming to visit blooms right by me. Two of my favorites!!
I love this technique featured in the Make it Monday #246 Spritzed Stamps Challenge. I have done this before with watercolor crayons and used ink on this card.
I added two colors of Distress Ink – Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet – and then spritzed water on and stamped onto watercolor paper. I just added the Violet to the edges and let the ink do its thing as Distress inks react with water.
After stamping and drying I die cut a shape from purple cardstock and embossed the sentiment using Silver Detail Powder.
I finished by adding a silver ribbon.
Love the shine from the embossing powder!
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.
