Hello there!

I created this card for the Simon Says Stamp Blog Monday Challenge – Add Some Texture.

I had lying around this background I made a while ago. I didn’t use it at the time but held onto it thinking it might become a card one day.

It has great texture – I used a stencil and put some paste on paper and then painted it after it dried.

To finish the card I die cut a large banner of Mixed Media card stock from Ranger. I inked up a Tim Holtz butterfly stamp with green, blue and purple and spritzed the stamp lightly.

I added some Tea Dye and Old paper on the edges to give it a vintage look. I stamped Birthday Wishes and punched the ends of the paper with a square pattern punch to get the unique ends.

This card went in a totally different direction mixing modern with vintage but I think it turned out so cool!
