Hello!
Just a quick post with a card for Simon Says Stamp Blog Monday Challenge Floral or Fauna.
I used My Favorite Things Wildflowers and stamped each flower after coloring it with a watercolor crayon. I sprayed a little water on it before putting it to paper.
I added some micro glaze on top of the flowers to help resist other ink.
I sprayed through a stencil with tea dye Tim Holtz distress spray and dried it. I flicked some zig metallic water colors, stamped the image with Walnut stain and tied on twine.
I popped up the water color panel with foam tape on a yellow card stock base.
This went quickly but I really like how it turned out. I want to work more with the micro glaze. It seems like a cool product.
Hope you have a great day!
This card turned out beautifully! I really love the way you've blended the flowers into the background with the white portions. The background pattern reminded me of a lovely piece of garden trellis and the twine at the top gives it a clever rustic feel. You did a really lovely job on this and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
this is adorable, luv the florals! did you see my posy here? check it out!
