Paper Smooches June Challenge – Layers

Hi there! Today I worked on a card for the Paper Smooches June Challenge – Layers.

I decided to use a stitched edge die to create several cuts from 3 shades and green. I cut each piece with Martha Stewart fringe scissors,

I glued down the layers from light to dark and trimmed off any excess.

Using black archival waterproof ink, I stamped several butterflies from Flap Happy.

I colored the images with Zig markers and I used Neenah Super smooth solar white, 80 lb cover.

Boy, I noticed a difference blending! Usually, I use a less expensive version of Neenah cardstock but I splurged to see if there is a difference. The markers blended so smoothly with this cardstock!

After coloring, I hand cut the images and added them to the layers. I stamped a sentiment at the bottom and added some clear wink of Stella to each image.

I love this stamp set, I think it is just so cute and I adore butterflies.

I am also adding this card to the Paper Smooches July Guest Designer Search.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
