Make it Monday #248 Ink Blending through Die Cut Masks

It is finally Saturday and I have a moment to create something for the Papertreyink Make it Monday #248: Ink Blending through Die Cut Masks.

This will be the last week of school and I wanted to create a few cards to give to my daughter’s teachers. They work so hard all year and I always try to write a note of thanks for all they do.

When I watched the video this week PTI’s Fruit Fusion Apple Die came to my mind to create a teacher card. I love apples!

I used a piece of embossable plastic window sheets to die cut the apple. I learned an amazing thing in the video that Lizzie shared of using a Cricut sticky cutting mat to hold your paper down while you stencil. No more paper sliding all over. Genius!

I was able to fit 5 red apples on my paper.

Using my MISTI, I stamped the sentiment from Wonderful Words: Teacher Mini Stamp set and cut “teacher” from the matching die using Luxe Gold Adhesive sheets.

I added the apples to a piece of leftover gold paper and mounted it all on Bright Buttercup Cardstock.
I love red and yellow and they are our school colors, too!

Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
