Make It Monday #247 Watercolor Card Sets

Hello! I played along with Papertreyink Make It Monday # 247 Watercolored Card Sets challenge.

I began by pulling out some Tim Holtz Watercolor paper. I stamped using my new MISTI (my early Mother’s day present, yay!) several different flowers and leaves with black archival ink. The MISTI was so handy for this.

I used Winnie & Walter Elsa’s Floral stamp set.

I water colored each flower a different color and I used mostly one color and tried to have some shading. I wanted to make 5 cards so I didn’t want to spend tons of time on the water coloring.

I embossed with a gold two different sentiments from the Sparkle and Shine Stamp set, also using the MISTI. I could really see the embossing ink and it made it so easy.

I found in my paper stash this amazing 12X12 paper from Wassau. It is a variety pack of Metallic paper and it is just gorgeous. It is also lightweight (65 lb) so it is very easy to use. I love when I find a treasure in the chaos of my room!

I mounted the paper to the gold paper and then onto an Avery Elle card base. I used a different color for each card.

I used the same gold paper to make sequins from the die that matches the Sparkle and Shine set. After attaching them, I added a few drops on the flowers and leaves with glossy accents to look like dew.

I will be giving these cards to graduating Senior high girls at my church. I am so excited for them and the next step in their lives.

Beautiful set of cards and your coloring is great!

The tulips are taken at the famous bulbs area called Lisse. I do have them as well but they are not the same if you see them in huge fields! Thank you for taking time to visit me!

Your flowers look beautiful on the metallic paper – it really brings out the gold embossed sentiments! And isn't the Misti just the greatest tool to have! She certainly named it right!
