Thanks Friend

Hello! I have been away for a while and am happy to be crafting again. With these beautiful spring days where I live it has been hard to stay inside…
I created this card on watercolor paper using the Ken Oliver Color Burst product. I have used this a few times and am still trying to figure out exactly how to use it. Of course, it would help if I would read the instructions or watched a video – but I am impatient so I just dive in with something new. I can’t wait to get my fingers dirty!
I heat embossed flower and leaf images from the Paper Smooches Natural Beauties stamp set with white powder. I “puffed” some Color Burst powder on and sprayed with a water bottle.
It is so fun to watch the color come to life on the paper.
After allowing the paper to dry, I mounted it onto a heavy weight white card base. I die cut a frame and stamped “thanks friend.” I added a very light watercolor wash to try and soften up the stark white and help it blend into the background.
I really love the watercolor “craze” that is happening right now. I hope it stays around a long time.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
