Just for You

Hi there!

Today I created this card for the Papertreyink Make It Monday # 246 Faux Brush Lettering challenge.

I stamped Just for You from Stampin up on watercolor paper with light pink ink.  I used a #4 round brush and faux painted the letters with a darker pink. This took me a couple of tries to get the right amount of water and ink but overall I liked the technique. Definitely something different and adds a more hand painted feel to it.

I die cut two frames using the Papertreyink Cover Plate Pretty Frame Die, in light and dark green and layered them around the sentiment. I cut flowers and leaves from the Papertreyink Color Pop Florals Kit and popped them up on the card. I added the front to a white heavy weight cardstock base to finish it.

This was fun and quick! I will definitely look for other stamps to use with this technique.

Have a wonderful day!
