A Starry Thank you

Hello! I have had a busy week and am looking forward to Spring Break with my children. We enjoy just having some downtime together and I enjoy some crating time!

I decided to create a Tim Holtz tag. I began by stamping a Dictionary background stamp using Archival Black Ink from Ranger. I glued down a piece of tissue paper and painted it with several shades of Distress paint.

I used a heat gun to speed up the drying time (love that tool). I used a star stencil and Metallic copper paste to add some stars. Next I punched a piece of paper and stamped Thank you in Archival ink and sprayed Wilted Purple Distress stain.

I had my alcohol inks out that I was using to created Easter eggs so I added purple onto a Tim Holtz metal star.

After all was dry, I assembled the tag and decided last minute to spray a little more Wilted Violet in the middle.

It went pretty quickly and I like the end result. Often I am unsure of where I am going when I start “distressing.” I am learning that you just have to go along on the ride! It is always fun.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

I created this tag for the Simon Says Stamp Blog Monday Challenge Lucky Stars.

Love how you just went with the flow, to me that is the best way to play! The background turned out beautifully, almost like the Milky Way! Thanks so much for joining in the Monday challenge fun at Simon Says Stamp where we are all about lucky stars!
