For this week’s challenge, I have been very inspired by Rend Collective’s song, “The Joy of the Lord” recently. You can see a video here of the story behind their song.
The word “Joy” has always been one of my favorites to use while crafting so I decided this would be the center of my card. I planned to use a diecut stars background to frame my card with the word Joy in the middle.
After cutting a mask I started watercoloring and ended up covering almost the whole card. When I peeled off the mask, it was soaking wet and some color had gotten in so it looked a little messy, but I really liked it.
I then stamped the words using the Williamsburg alphabet from Technique Tuesday.
After all that, I was ready to mount the frame around it and it just didn’t look right. I loved the card just as it was.
This card is for the Simon Says Stamp blog Monday Challenge: Inspired by a Song.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
