Something New

This is my card for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Something New.

I have really gotten into Tim Holtz over the last year so I wanted to create a card for this challenge with his Globe thinlit. It was die cut with green paper and backed by a circle of homemade paper sprayed with some of his blue distress spray stains to add some depth.

After attaching the globe to the blue I colored the land with Wink of Stella Clear glitter. I cannot get enough of these markers. I just love the subtle glimmer you get. I attached a wide piece of burlap to a a piece of newsprint style paper and popped up the globe with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment in brown ink and added a little Old Paper Distress ink on top.

Have a great day!

I'm a new follower of your blog. Thank you for your comment on my Tim Holtz Vintage Travel & Luggage Tag. Like how you used the TH globe die on yours w/ the added burlap & newsprint. I do not have the Globe die and have been considering buying it. Wonder if TH will do a 2nd one that has the other part of the globe on it. You can enter this in Vintage Journey Ch Vintage Travel & Luggage.
